Growing up with southern manners I was taught not to brag. But we live in a world where self-promotion is more common than cornbread on Sunday. That said; allow me to lay out my path as a writer. I began in Dallas, Texas. After bouncing around from one sales job to another, I landed at a small ad agency, tasked with bringing in new business. I did, and these fresh clients required copywriting, so I took it upon myself. One day a client remarked… “your writing is really good” and that lit a spark in me.
The Art Director for another account liked my writing chops enough to recommend me as a scriptwriter for a puppet show called, Gerbert. I moved to LA shortly after that fateful encounter which leads me to wrap up with this thought… encourage people’s natural gifts. You have no idea the impact you might have on their lives.
